I was so pleased to see the picture on the front page of the Beacon. I am the granddaughter of Fred Paine and there are many of his descendants living here in Victoria. My father, Pat Paine, when he was a small lad put his foot print in the cement outside the front of the store and it is there to this day. Is it possible there is a child looking out the window from up above? Maybe it was my father.
