The August 2012 pilot road closures in Beacon Hill Park have been in place for over a year, and Council is set to review the changes this fall.

The City and parks staff have received public feedback on the closures through online and paper surveys, letters for and against, and multiple open forums. Parks staff will provide a report and recommendations to Council based on the feedback received over the past year.

According to the City of Victoria's website, "If there is community support for the proposed changes, the temporary bollards will be replaced by permanent curbing, increased green space and multi-use trails in 2014."
