Letter - Handrails at the breakwater

I guess my face will be on the milk carton along with Doreen's.

Kudos to her for telling it how it is in a positive way. I so agree with her. To all the naysayers - stop all this foolishness about the railings and its architecture. It's like bickering about what kind of flowers to plant in Beacon Hill Park. They are all beautiful and so are the railings on the breakwater at Ogden Point.

Think of some of the breath-holding moments when a young child in excitement breaks away from their parents hand holding to get closer to see the ocean, and a heavy great gust comes in and it does get very windy at times. This railing prevents a possible catastrophe, not to mention other incidents.

Hats off to all those responsible for the railings being put up and the architecture of it.
