David One – Goliath Nil

Goliath, he was very tall -

            In fact he was a giant.

While David was quite young and small

            Tho' very self reliant.

Goliath threatened David

            And waved his club around

So David with his slingshot

            Picked a stone up off the ground.

As Goliath clomped towards him

Dave said "try this on for size"

And hit Goliath fair and square

            Right between the eyes.

Goliath toppled over                                                                                                                                        And did not move again

The cry went up "Goliaths dead"

            Our David said AMEN.

Dave was always modest

            And to people he would say

"Yes I lived near Goliath -

            A mere stones throw away".
