Beacon Hill Park
The Beacon Hill Park Rose Garden was officially opened on June 3.
Protected by a Victorian heritage style wrought metal fence the garden is located across Circle Drive from the Petting Zoo. Paths and plantings link it to the nearby Queen's Lake. As the garden matures the 150 rose bushes planted in a wheel pattern will bloom in a variety of colours. A delightful addition to our park.
Concerts in the Park
Free entertainment all summer at the Cameron Bandshell. Concerts in the Park series run every Friday, Saturday Sunday and holiday Mondays from 1:30 pm to 3:20 pm until September 12.
Children's' Concerts in the Park series will once again be offered on Wednesdays July 16 and 30 and August 13 and 27 from 11:00 am to 11:45.
