The Beacon of September 2014 carried a sad letter bemoaning locking of the James Bay mall washrooms. This, I am told, has been the reaction to some less than acceptable human behaviour. Apparently, a minority of individuals, by their practices, have caused the washrooms to be controlled by code-number entrance only. It is my understanding there have been a number of anti-social behaviours, including my own witness of at least one incident of disgusting “uncleanliness.” All of this has been discovered by a conscientious and hardworking janitorial team.
Yes, it is an (sometimes embarrassing) inconvenience among us “urgent”(!) seniors, but let us accept this is an expected reaction to yet another example of deliberate abuse of a necessary facility.
Would you continue to clean up the mess and repair damage?
What other action could management take?
