The 'Bear' Facts

I am a furry caterpillar

            Known as the Wooly Bear

If you see holes in Hollyhocks

            You’ll know that I’ve been there.

I’m also fond of nettles

            Folks don’t mind me eating those

But dining on their Hollyhocks –

            It get right up their nose.

I stuff myself all summer

            And when I’m nice and fate

I turn into a Chrysalis

            So whatcha think of that?

Then when I’m good and ready

            My case splits – I step free

Who is that lovely creature

            Why, It’s GORGEOUS little me!
