Owl Talk

May 2015

In deep woods
High on a limb hidden by foliage
An owl rests by day
Observing through an interstice of leaves
Large eyes, never blinking,
Follow hikers on the path
With its swivel-like head
Observing every human move.
As one passes it calls out
HOO HOO hoo hoo hoo?

No reply needed.
