On Monday we are moving from our lovely house on Sylvia Street after 44 years. The time has come for the move, but we can't go without a huge thanks to James Bay for all the opportunities it has given us for involvement over the past five decades. The James Bay News (cut and paste by hand layout nights around our pool table), volunteering at the New Baby Clinic where I met so many wonderful women who have remained fast friends, Phil working as Volunteer Co-ordinator (Volunteer Grandparents, Phone checkins for shut-ins), I worked at Harvey's Read 'n Rite Post Office for years, we both belonged to The Gnu Society (I still have my 'Rumour Control Squad' T-shirt), Phil did a stint with three newspaper routes in James Bay between jobs one year, I helped start the James Bay Pre-School (what fun duty dates were!), Phil was part of setting up the teen group and ESP (Educational Support Programme), I even did a term on the Resources Board, we owned the Evergreen Restaurant (now the Bistro), and of course, Phil's wonderful and loved years as chef at the Community School.

We will miss being part of this community, but will still consider ourselves James Bayites.
