Nature's Healing

May 2015

The creek in flood from winter rains
Churning over rocks, grinding,
composting contributions of careless
human’s debris on nature’s carapace
of fallen leaves, insects, decaying plants
resembling a ballet of intertwined
discordance of man and nature.

The pen too like a river spills a turbulence of
thoughts on paper of changing seasons.
When all is calm with sunshine
rain and warm evenings the plants
will again bring a spectrum of color
in our boulevards and wild places
restoring healing to our land.

We welcome all these variations
like musical interludes on this
empyreal island.
