The James Bay Beacon received a very welcome donation of archival issues of the James Bay News, with issues dating back to July 1973. The James Bay News was the precursor to the James Bay Beacon. Neither the provincial ar- chives nor the local municipal archives keep copies of community newspapers so we are very grateful to receive this treasure trove.
