Purple "Pro's"

The gaudy broads

            have come to town

in scarlet hats

            and purple gown.

With happy chatter

            friendly fuss

They come streaming

            off the bus.

They are not young

            but having fun

and walking off

            to have high tea.

Behind my walker

            wistfully

I wish that it

          were me.
