Poem: May and Mothers

God bless mothers

For children there are no others -

To take her place.

A child will always remember

   a smile or expression on her face.

However we may wish to be led by

   a friendlier hand than ours as ever

Following through this earthly scene.

She would not in our weary hours

To regret what might have been!

Look backward with gratitude;

Look onward with hope and upward with

   confidence for the right attitude.

What a brilliant display of God's handiwork

   we have enjoyed!

Streets lined with flowering trees & flowers

   of every kind, to keep our hearts upward, buoyed!

Husband, children & families, remember

Mother with flowers a card or a love gift

For Mother's day to give her heart a lft!
