I just want to say thank you for publishing such an interesting, informative and timely article on understanding newborn behaviour.  It's heartening to hear more support that "crying it out" and "spoiling by carrying" are not just out-dated child development myths, but potentially harmful responses that should be discarded in light of the reality of how dependent infants are on their caregivers.
