Understandable Public Disgust
Sep 2011
Letter to the Editor
Usually, I would decry "demands" for increases in pay and benefits of government employees, when we are told "the cupboard is bare" and we have both deficit and debt; I also would question the simple mathematical comprehension of those (teachers) who really should understand(?)
Then, we have been told that same "cupboard is bare" government has paid $6,000,000 in legal fees for two convicted former government aides (Basi and Virk) in apparent contradiction of its own policy towards such masters!
It would appear crime is paid, honest effort is not. From which one can logically understand public disgust, and mistrust of government representation.
