Many thanks to the business community who gave us wonderful gifts, certificates and support for our annual Silent Auction. We would also like to thank the 60 participants who so generously bid on items. This event raised over $2,000 which will be used to offset the cost of our new sound system. As you may be aware, James Bay New Horizons rents space to many community groups and organizations. The Board of Directors decided that in order to provide adequate sound for these meetings, it was necessary to update our 30 year old equipment. This has been done, complete with a sound system that allows hearing impaired participants to access good sound through the T switch on thier hearing aids.  If you would like to donate to this worthwhile project and receive a charitable donation receipt, please stop into the Centre and speak to the staff. We still have a $1,200. shortfall for this project and would appreciate any assistance we could get.
