Double Trouble

Nov 2012

I'm the mother you see joggin'

            with her "chariot"

with me babies - this one's Jane

            that one's Harriet.

To dress the twins the same

            would be nonsensical

We can't tell which is which

            they are identical.

I wears a snazzy Lycra suite

            to run in

It's flashy so the whole world

            sees me comin.'

To make certain that the darlings

            fall asleep -

I run 'til I'm a steaming

            Lycra'd heap.

While they squall (and make me

            feel  like throttlin')

I warm their milk and smoothly

            shove the bottle in.

How I wish the little dears would

            quickly grow up

As I burp them on me shoulder and

            they throw up.

We dearly love the twins we've

            taken photographs galore

but He can have the next lot -

            I can't handle any more!
