Volunteer in your own community

The James Bay Community School Society is an organization with active staff and board members who are committed to the development of community partnerships in order to provide programs and services that meet the changing needs of the community.  As the "Heart of the Community" we provide a neighbourhood gathering place for people of all ages and a strong voice for community leadership while understanding the unique qualities of James Bay.

There are ongoing volunteer opportunities available at the centre and school, both for one-time special events and for seasonal programs that run from September to June.  All volunteers working with children and seniors in the province of British Columbia require a current criminal record check. Interested residents can inquire at the centre and complete a volunteer interest form that provides specific details on all our volunteer opportunities.
