Letter - Our community vehicle

Thank you for allowing me to use the space of the James Bay Beacon office for the James Bay Art Walk. Special thanks to Deborah and Conni for facilitating the organization of the space.

Almost 400 people came through the doors, the majority of whom were James Bay residents. Without exception they spoke of their favourable impressions of the Beacon, how proud they were of the paper, how much they appreciated the content as informative, and how much they admired the fact that volunteers did the work of publishing.

Even visitors from outside commented on the quality of the Beacon, some of our neighbours being Senvious that they did not have such a community vehicle for information and for spirit within their neighbourhoods.
