Romer's Waterfront Tap Room will open soon in the old CPR Steamship Terminal in Victoria's picturesque inner harbour. Greater Victoria Harbour Authority (GVHA) holds a 40-year lease on the building with the Provincial Capital Commission. GVHA President & CEO Curtis Grad said Romer's is a perfect fit for the historic building."The flexible restaurant/coffee-bar approach will optimize the use of space and appeal to both visitors and residents, morning, noon and night."
"The management team brings a wealth of experience in local and unique food and beverage operations," Grad said. "Romer's will inspire a feeling of comfortable elegance in the building, reminiscent of the steamship era." The Steamship Terminal's other confirmed major anchor tenant, the Bateman Foundation, is in the midst of completing its improvement works. An opening for the gallery and foundation headquarters is planned for Spring 2013.
