Half-price admission, ideal for visits on dark, weekday winter afternoons, is now available until March 31, 2013 with the extension of the Royal BC Museum After School Special. Visitors are invited to enjoy the weekday learning experience every afternoon from Monday to Friday, from 3:30 pm until closing at 5 pm. Children 5 years or younger can visit the museum galleries free of charge, as they do year-round.

Pacific Opera, Albert Herring
Performed in English with English surtitles, the Pacific Opera presents this modern opera adapted from a short story by Guy de Maupassant. Written by Benjamin Britten, the comedic tale explores small-town trials and tribulations.

Concerts for Kids by the Victoria Symphony presents a Lemony Snicket mystery to determine who killed Beethoven, Bach and Mozart. Giuseppe Pietraroia conducts.

Principal guest conductor Alain Trudel leads the Victoria Symphony in Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 6. Other pieces in this Legacy Series concert include Stravinsky's Circus Polka, Prokofiev's Violin Concerto No. 2, and Tchaikovsky's Waltz from Sleeping Beauty.
