To My Valentine

Feb 2013

Softly as the morning light

begins to dim the stars

One by one the little birds

Will serenade the hours.

Wake up Valentine,

Our day's at dawn's edge.

The gardens enchanting

Still tranquil and hushed

Small flowers are yawning

They won't deign to be rushed.

Walk here with me a little while

I'll make you blush,

To see you smile.

Let the sunrise pour blessings

On us and our dreams,

Blissful and golden,

Via sunbeams.

They herald a pledge

we'll share together

To respect and to love

each other

forever...
