In to the Mystery

The only time I ever sing is when no one else is around. This inhibition dates back to grade four, when our music teacher told me that I could practice with the choir, but when we went on stage I should only lip sync the words. I got the message loud and clear and hid my musical voice. That day, part of me was diminished.

At The Church of Truth on Sunday, 10 April, I sat with about 50 other people and listened as Michael Stillwater awakened and encouraged the voice that resides in all of us. Michael talked about discovering our song and giving voice to it. For me it was a truly liberating, joyful and uplifting experience. Through a combination of music and words, Michael offered a compassionate healing. I am writing about this even though Michael has come and already gone, so that when he returns, others will be able to avail themselves of a wonderful experience.
